Face of Defeat

It took two years, but I finally made it out to watch my first game.

Unfortunately, I hear it was their worst game ever and wouldn't you know it.. Jonathan managed to secure his first ever red card.

It was the last game of the year. But of course, indoor practice already starts on Sunday and hockey starts up on Wednesday. It never ends.

I haven't said it out loud to Jonathan yet, but it was actually nice being able to watch him play. Reminded me of the days in high school and university, when I watched him play rugby while worrying that he'd break a bone or dislocate something. But these days, we only worry that he doesn't run out of breath and that we have enough Tiger Balm for the aching muscles! ;)
