Animal Watch

We have seen a lot of cool things since we've been here and we have really enjoyed keeping our eyes peeled for animals while on our drives. We've seen countless elks, mountain sheep, roaming cows and horned bulls crossing the highways and grazing in the shoulder, deer, one grizzly, pelicans (did you know that they migrate to Calgary in the summer??? who would have thunk it?) and far too many ground squirrels to care about. It's always cool when you spot one and on our drive into Banff with Dana and Emily, we were so lucky to see at least 8 elk, grazing in the trees alongside the Banff Springs Golf Course. We grabbed a couple of shots:
